The iPad has an 8 MP rear-facing camera and a 1.2 MP front-facing shooter. The idoes not support optical zoom, nor does it have a secondary lens for supplementing the main camera with additional depth of field data for more accurate bokeh effect shots. In practice, this means that the camera cannot compensate against minor camera movements, which can result in blurry-looking photos. While the rear-facing camera is good enough for taking the occasional snapshot, the sensor is not opticallly stabilised (OIS) as many modern smartphone cameras are. However, they still take decent looking photos in our opinion. These are the same cameras that Apple used in the iPhone 5s, so they are comparatively outdated by modern smartphone standards. The ihas the same cameras as its predecessor and the one before that.
